Offering perfect synchronisation when streaming music between rooms, Songcast is ideal for parties - listen to what's playing on one Linn DS player in as many other DS rooms as you like.

Share any source, anywhere
As well as sharing Linn DS content (e.g. playlists, internet radio, iTunes library, etc.) Songcast lets you share any source that's connected to a Linn DS player with inputs, in any other DS room. So you can even stream vinyl, audio from the TV, or YouTube and Spotify from the laptop.

Easy to expand at any time
With Linn DS multiroom, rooms can be added in multiples or one by one, at any time in the future. Operating within the same network, additional rooms can immediately tap into the same central library of stored music or access internet radio and online services.

The open architecture means that the same controllers are used to control the entire system even when the system is expanded. Plus everyone can choose the one that suits them best, e.g. laptop, PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android phone, etc.

Crestron Driver Released for DS Pre-Amplifier Functions

Available via Crestron's 'Integrated Partner Program' we now have Crestron control of the Linn DS pre-amplifier functions of power toggle, volume control and source selection.

This driver provides direct control of the DS pre-amplifier functions, including external source switching within Sekrit DS-I, Majik DS-I and the new Akurate Kontrol (released 2010), or proxy control of other Linn pre-amplifiers connected to a Linn DS player.

Linn Custom Training Course Dates in 2011

Linn Products CI training is a two day course held at our purpose built manufacturing facility in Glasgow. This course is intended to assist with sales, specification and installation of Linn's comprehensive product range. Starting with a factory tour and full product overview, attendees can meet the whole Linn team, from custom specialists to our record label, and get hands on with Linn's market-leading Digital Stream (DS) technology from set-up to application.

Successful ISE 2011 for Linn

Linn Products were proud to exhibit at Integrated Systems Europe 2011 over in Amsterdam earlier this month. With a presence as an integration partner on the Control 4 booth, we were demonstrating the Majik DS-I with control integration from Control 4. The simple to use interface and iPad options provide a great way of combining the very best in audio performance with whole house automation.

ISE was also treated to a live performance from one of Linn's own recording artists, Maeve O'Boyle at the Control 4 dealer awards ceremony, reminding everyone why we make great products - because we love to make great music!

Control4 driver for Linn DS released

Following a successful preview at CEDIA's Home Technology Event in London earlier this year, Linn is pleased to announce that the Control4 driver for Linn DS products is now available to download from CI specialists Extra Vegetables.

With this driver, music from any UPnP compatible media server can be selected via the Control4 user interface and played back through any Linn DS player. There is also support for Internet radio stations, including Linn's own radio stations - the highest quality music stream available. The driver enables full control of a Linn DS player from a Control4 touch-screen, remote or on-screen display.

"Multi-room audio doesn't have to mean convenience at the expense of quality", comments Steve Croft, Linn's Director of Sales. Control4 driver for Linn DS in the pipeline

Sekrit DS-I receives IR control

Local control options for Sekrit DS-I have now been expanded to include IR control from a remote handset. This hardware revision also enables control of the product via Linn's simple in-wall controllers, Basik 3 RCU and Basik 3 IR RCU. Together, these updates provide even greater control flexibility in any installation, and give the customer the option to have a very simple and quick control interface for basic functions such as volume control, mute and skipping tracks in a playlist.

All new Sekrit DS-I now have the following features:

IR receiver on the front panel, for local control by a remote control handset (supplied separately)
RJ45 socket for connection of a Linn Basik 3 or Basik 3 IR RCU, providing a simple and convenient in-wall control option for Sekrit DS-I
Blue front panel LEDs (changed from green)

Please note that the RC5 In / Out sockets on the back panel have been replaced by the RJ45 socket mentioned above, and the hardware changes listed are not retro-fit options. For an up-to-date technical specification, view the Sekrit DS-I product information sheet.

KinskyPronto release adds support for Philips Pronto range

Version 3.1.2 of KinskyPronto available from the Linn OSS site adds support for the Philips Pronto range of wireless controllers.

This release is compatible with all Cara versions of Linn DS and allows source switching.

Pronto modules and project files are available for the Pronto 9400 and 9600/9800 models.
