Prize draw winners Access All Areas at the Linn Factory

On Saturday we welcomed over 100 lucky Linn owners to a very special 'Access All Areas' event celebrating the official opening of the new Visitor Centre at the Linn Factory.

Guests from all over the world enjoyed exclusive live performances from Linn artists Alyn Cosker and Maeve O’Boyle, as well as demonstrations of all the latest Linn systems. They were also able to get hands-on with our most dynamic Linn DS control solution to date, KinskyDesktop.

The official opening ceremony was performed by Linn Managing Director Gilad Tiefenbrun, supported by his father Ivor, Founder and Executive Chairman.

Thanks to everyone who entered the prize draw - an enjoyable afternoon was had by all, and we’re looking forward to welcoming more visitors to the factory in the coming months.

Hear the difference with free 24-bit downloads from Linn Records

Linn Records is beginning a downloads series (via Twitter) allowing you to test the difference between 24-bit Studio Master, 16-bit CD quality and humble streamed MP3 audio files.

These aren't some engineered test-tones or short audio clips, but full free tracks from the latest Linn Records releases.

First up is some incredible jazz from drummer Alyn Cosker. Download and have a listen to CD Quality vs. Studio Master. You can hear the 128K MP3 version by previewing (rather than downloading) either of these tracks.

Follow Linn Records on Twitter to keep up with the series and hear more. More will be added in the next few weeks, including some 24-bit/192kHz classical tracks and a taster from the soon-to-be-released new album from jazz great Claire Martin.
